Senior Software Engineer Qt / C++ (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of software engineering tasks within the R&D environment
- Designing, developing, and testing C++ applications with a focus on Qt and MITK
- Ensuring quality through regular code reviews, bug fixing, and unit testing
- Creating technical documentation in line with applicable specifications and standards
- Managing software releases across all stages
- Supporting the service team in handling technical customer inquiries
Profile
- Successfully completed technical or engineering studies (e.g. Software Engineering, Medical Technology, Electrical Engineering)
- Extensive experience in software engineering (minimum 5 years) – preferably within the medical device industry
- Skilled in modern development environments (VS Code, C++17+, CI/CD pipelines)
- Familiarity with CMake or similar build systems and unit test frameworks such as GTest/GMock
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Medical Device Regulation (MDR), Risk Management standards and Cyber Security is an advantage
- Knowledge of modern development methodologies such as V-model, SCRUM, and BDD
- Good German and very good English skills
