Clinical Project Manager (Research & IT) (m/f/d)
About the company
- In this position, you will take full responsibility for managing complex clinical research projects across multiple regions. Your work will span interventional drug trials, non-interventional studies, medical-device research and technology-driven clinical initiatives. The role combines classic clinical-project oversight with hands-on coordination of the digital platforms, tools and IT services that underpin modern, patient-focused study designs
Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact person for the study sponsor and guide all operational steps from planning to study completion
- Drive timelines, milestones and deliverables throughout the full clinical-study lifecycle
- Oversee the project budget, track financials and update leadership regularly
- Manage the digital ecosystem used in clinical research, including platforms for data capture and patient interaction
- Translate operational requirements into actionable technical specifications for IT teams and external partners
- Ensure smooth, reliable performance of digital tools for internal teams, investigators and patients
- Work with technical specialists to resolve issues, roll out enhancements and optimize workflows
- Coordinate external partners such as CROs, technology providers and patient-service suppliers
- Develop and maintain standardized processes, documentation and operational guidelines to support compliance and consistency
Profile
- A degree in a scientific discipline or an equivalent qualification
- Professional experience in clinical research within a CRO, biotech or pharmaceutical setting
- A proven background in managing clinical projects with digital and operational components
- Knowledge of digital or decentralized study elements and confidence using study-support platforms
- Experience with interventional studies; familiarity with non-interventional studies is an advantage
- Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks in clinical development
- A structured, independent and solution-driven working style with strong prioritization skills
- Confidence working with digital tools, electronic data and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset
