Data Engineer SQL (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Support the validation of data models within SAP Datasphere during migration from Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Compare output data (e.g., tables and results) between different systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Analyze business processes and data flows, identifying and documenting discrepancies between systems
- Monitor system processes (e.g., data load performance, runtimes) and detect potential issues
- Document data models and processes in collaboration with development teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data integration and transformation processes
Profile
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer / Business Intelligence Specialist or in a comparable role
- Advanced expertise in SQL programming, including complex queries and stored procedures
- Strong knowledge of data modeling and database concepts
- Hands-on experience with SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, and Microsoft SQL Server
- High attention to detail, particularly in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented approach
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international team
- Fluent in written and spoken English
