Responsibilities
As Senior Power Electronics Engineer, you will take ownership of electronics development across the full product lifecycle—from early concept and design to validation, production, and optimization.
You will work in a multidisciplinary R&D environment, contributing to both detailed design and system-level solutions. This is a deeply technical, hands-on role with high ownership. The role is based in Birkerød, Denmark and reports to the Team Lead – Electronics.
Key responsibilities:
• Design and develop power electronics for laser systems across the full product lifecycle
• Own technical work packages and ensure delivery within scope, timeline, and quality targets
• Develop system-level electronics architectures and design concepts
• Collaborate closely with experts in optics, mechanics, and system design
• Create reference designs to support scalability and standardization
• Support manufacturing, custom solutions, and product improvements
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and certification requirements
What you will be doing (in practice)
• Working on low-volume, high-margin, high-complexity systems
• Translating unclear or evolving customer requirements into robust technical solutions
• Contributing to both detailed circuit design and overall system performance
• Taking ownership of solutions from idea ? design ? validation ? production

Profile
You are a strong power electronics specialist with experience developing complex systems and a structured, solution-oriented mindset.
Experience
• Senior-level experience in power electronics development (100W–10kW range)
• Strong track record in PCB design and product development
• Experience working across the full product lifecycle
• Comfortable working in complex and evolving R&D environments
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Technical expertise:You have strong experience in several of the following:
Power electronics design
• DC/DC converter design and verification (kW range)
• Analog circuit design (control loops, amplifiers, inrush circuits)
Hardware & components
• Magnetic component design (inductors, transformers, chokes)
• PCB design and productization
Simulation & analysis
• Circuit simulation (e.g. LTspice, Pspice)
• Worst-case analysis, component stress, MTBF, DFMEA
General
• Strong understanding of switch-mode power electronics technologies
• Experience working with external partners or suppliers
Personal competencies
• A hands-on technical specialist who enjoys solving complex problems
• Structured and quality-focused in your approach
• Comfortable taking ownership and driving solutions end-to-end
• Collaborative and able to work across disciplines
• Curious, analytical, and motivated by developing advanced engineering solutions
