Android Automotive System Engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Lead the assessment and documentation of Google Built-In adoption impacts across hardware, software, and integration layers
- Define technical gaps, risks, and dependencies for migration strategies
- Analyze Google Automotive Services (GAS) requirements, compliance, and certification processes
- Collaborate with UX, system architects, hardware engineers, suppliers, and Google to drive feasibility studies
- Recommend architectural changes to support Google Built-In while maintaining OEM customizations
- Support system-level design, benchmarking, and feature validation during rollout
Profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and Google Built-In ecosystem
- Strong understanding of Android system architecture (HALs, BSPs, middleware, frameworks)
- Skilled in system integration, debugging, and performance tuning on infotainment platforms
- Familiarity with GAS certification and compliance processes
- Excellent communication skills in English to convey complex technical topics to diverse stakeholders
