Responsibilities

  • Ensure seamless collaboration between hardware and software components, driving integration activities throughout the entire lifecycle of the instrument
  • Independently or with minimal support, plan, execute, and document integration activities such as feasibility studies, testing and troubleshooting
  • Develop and verify test methods for instrument testing, maintain and execute complex test cases, and ensure formal testing of instrument functionality
  • Support and execute troubleshooting and root cause analysis for instrument issues
  • Apply statistical methods and data analysis using software tools to evaluate test results, identify trends and correlations, interpret findings, and generate reports that inform decision-making
  • Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration, bringing fresh ideas to the table, encouraging innovation, and supporting continuous improvement

Profile

  • Apprenticeship as a Chemical Laboratory Technician/Biotechnologist, or a B.Sc. degree (or higher) in a relevant technical or scientific field, combined with strong analytical thinking skills
  • Solid experience in a laboratory environment (experience gained during an apprenticeship or vocational training is fully credited) 
  • Foundational knowledge of systems engineering and understanding of interactions between mechanical, electronic, and software components in instrument development
  • Proficiency in intermediate to advanced statistical methods and software tools for data analysis, evaluation, and interpretation.
  • Fluent English and German is an advantage
  • Initial professional experience in the field of medical device development is an advantage
  • Knowledge of the following tools and IT systems is an advantage but not mandatory: Python, JMP, Azure DevOps, Retina
