Senior NDT Engineer (Tomography / Industrial Radiography) (m/f/d)
About the company
Fire Point Rocket Technology (FPRT) is a defense technology company at the intersection of advanced materials science and modern rocket propulsion. We design and manufacture solid rocket propellant and propulsion components that power next-generation defense systems, with an uncompromising focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
FPRT is part of the international Fire Point Group and is the first Ukrainian defense company to establish a production facility in the EU. Our new site in Vojens is being built as a state-of-the-art solid-fuel factory, including modern laboratories, production lines, and attractive employee facilities (canteen, café, gym, wellness areas, and outdoor spaces). Our ambition is significant: we are scaling from early operations to 350+ employees within the next 18 months.
Our mission is clear: we develop technologies that help protect people, freedom, and infrastructure. You will join a multicultural, highly skilled team where Purpose, Courage, Mastery, and Trust define how we work together.

Responsibilities
As Senior NDT Engineer (Tomography), you will act as an independent quality authority for non-destructive inspection of solid propellant grains and motor assemblies containing energetic materials.
You will report to the Quality Control Manager and operate as a senior specialist working closely with production, while maintaining functional independence from Production and Process Engineering. This is not a team-lead position, but a hands-on expert role with significant technical authority.
Working hours & shift setup: The role starts on day shift. As production scales, FPRT will transition to 24/7 operations, and the role is expected to move into a three-shift rotation.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Non-Destructive Testing (CT / X-ray)
• Perform industrial CT (computed tomography) and industrial X-ray inspections of solid propellant grains and motor assemblies.
• Detect and evaluate internal defects (e.g., voids, cracks, inclusions, density inconsistencies, delamination) and geometry deviations that may impact burn behavior.
• Plan and execute inspections in a production environment: align on sampling logistics, manage inspection queues/priorities, and ensure smooth handover across shifts as the function scales.
Tomography & Technical Interpretation
• Reconstruct and analyze 3D tomographic models and translate imaging data into clear conclusions.
• Assess defect size, location, severity, and relevance to combustion stability, mechanical integrity, and safety risk.
• Provide structured feedback to relevant stakeholders to support fast, fact-based decisions—without compromising independence.
Quality Decision Authority
• Act as the formal quality gate, issuing inspection outcomes: Approved / Conditionally Approved / Rejected.
• Escalate critical findings immediately when safety or performance risks are identified.
• Ensure inspection decisions remain independent of production pressure and schedule constraints, and that decisions are properly documented and traceable.
Documentation,Traceability & Compliance
• Maintain full traceability of inspected items, datasets, images, and reports in line with internal procedures and defense-grade standards.
• Ensure high documentation quality and audit readiness; support audits, investigations, and internal reviews related to NDT and product integrity.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
• Help establish and continuously refine NDT standards, inspection protocols, and acceptance criteria as the site scales.
• Support root-cause analysis together with Quality, Chemistry, and Process Engineering (while preserving inspection independence).
• Drive improvements that increase defect detectability, inspection reliability, and effective CT/X-ray utilization—especially in a future shift-based setup.
