Responsibilities
- CAP (Node.js): Design and develop cloud-native backend services using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) with strong focus on clean domain modeling, validations, and reusable service layers
- OData Services: Expose business objects and operations via OData services, including annotations for seamless UI consumption and integration scenarios
- BTP Services: Design, configure, and operate scalable services on SAP BTP (e.g. security, destinations, logging/monitoring, CI/CD-ready deployments)
- Fiori Elements: Build standard SAP Fiori applications based on OData and annotations, ensuring consistency, speed, and extensibility
- Custom SAPUI5 Development: Implement custom UI5 components and applications where required, following SAP UX guidelines and performance best practices
- Process Automation: Develop and optimize workflows using SAP Build Process Automation (approvals, orchestrations, integrations) with a focus on measurable efficiency gains
- Event-Driven Architecture: Implement event-based integration patterns using SAP Event Mesh (publish/subscribe, decoupling, reliability)
- Integration (AEM / APIs):Integrate external systems and processes via AEM (Asapio) where applicable.Consume and standardize APIs using api.sap.com and apply governance best practices
- Architecture & Best Practices:Apply SAP reference architectures, clean layering concepts, and ensure high standards in extensibility, security, and observability
- Backend Integration: Connect and integrate with SAP ECC / S/4HANA (ABAP stack) services
- RAP (ABAP): Build or extend services using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model where required
Profile
- Strong experience with SAP BTP and cloud-native development
- Strong hands-on experience implementing solutions on SAP BTP, with focus on SAP CAP side-by-side extensions (Node.js)
- Proven hands-on expertise with CAP (Node.js) and OData
- Solid knowledge of SAP Fiori Elements and SAPUI5
- Experience with integration patterns, APIs, and event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with SAP Build Process Automation and Event Mesh is an advantageous
- Experience with ABAP / RAP and S/4HANA integration is beneficial
- Strong understanding of scalable architecture and clean coding principles
- Independent, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
- Interest in emerging AI technologies (for example SAP Joule, agentic frameworks)
