Project information

  • The Product Compliance Expert works with the Group Sustainability and Product Compliance Team and contributes to ensure compliant products, product documentation, and processes according to assigned regulations and standards for new products and existing product portfolios
  • Relevant regulations and requirements cover RoHS, REACH Regulation, SCIP Database, POP Regulation, Conflict Minerals Regulations, WEEE, PFAS Regulations etc.

Responsibilities

  • Take over profile ownership for assigned regulations/ standards (RoHS, REACH Regulation, SCIP Database, POP Regulation, Conflict Minerals Regulations, WEEE, PFAS Regulations)
  • Monitor and analyze new and changing product related regulations/ standards (focus fields: material and environmental compliance, amongst others), execute impact assessment, implement requirements, and generate thorough documentation.
  • Support material compliance category in radar (e.g. chemical legislation/ substance restrictions)This includes regulatory reporting (EU REACH reporting and related topics regarding substance restrictions) in line with associated processes.
  • Responsible for environmental compliance category in radar
  • Support data management and Source Intelligence material/ substance database - manage ongoing Product Compliance campaigns in Source Intelligence
  • Support product compliance-related (customer) inquiries related to assigned regulations/ standards and assist with product compliance-related cases
  • Participate in the definition, steering and assurance of the Group product compliance framework and activities related to the compliance radar, profiles and reporting
  • Participate in definition, implementation, and maintenance of product compliance processes (incl. templates, forms, guidelines etc.) in collaboration with cross-functional departments

Profile

  • Degree in engineering, material or natural sciences (BSc or MSc)
  • Solid experience in Product / Material Compliance (e.g. EU REACH SCIP Reporting, EU RoHS etc.)
  • Background and professional experience in the electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) industry
  • Strong affinity with IT systems (such as MS Office, SharePoint, SAP etc.) and data management tools
  • Fluent english language skills and good german language skills advantageous
