Responsibilities
- Grid Engineer for a Japanese wind offshore project
- As a power systems engineer, you will conduct studies for offshore wind farm projects
- These studies are typically categorized into RMS and electromagnetic transients (EMT) and require knowledge of simulation tools such as PowerFactory and PSCAD
- The studies include load flow, short circuit analysis, transient stability, fault ride-through (FRT), insulation coordination, harmonic analysis and harmonic stability, among others
- The aim of these studies is to optimize system design, ensure compliance with grid connection regulations and develop operating guidelines for operation and maintenance
Profile
- Experience with Power Factory and PSCAD software
- Familiarity with the relevant standards such as IEC, IEEE, CIGRÉ and others
