Platform Developer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Develop a middleware to bridge various external systems (modules) with internal company systems that enable communication with specific functionalities, master data exchange between systems and act as an intermediary used by various manufacturers/suppliers
- Build a service platform from scratch and work on creating a POS core system using a domain-oriented approach
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Ensure comprehensive system observability through monitoring and logging with Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus
- Manage the software lifecycle, including deployment, maintenance, and scaling
Profile
- Experience with following tech-stack: Java, (Type)JavaScript, Angular, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL and Kafka
- Practical experience in the daily use of Git with pull request–based workflows working within a monorepo
- Experience in continuous development with GitHub Actions serving as a continuous integration and deployment platform
- Experience in unit-, integration- and system-testing
- Experience in managing the software lifecycle, from dev to ops incl. deployment, maintenance and scaling
- Proficient in implementing and integrating monitoring platforms like Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus with various solutions for comprehensive system observability
- Understanding of software architecture principles, particularly in the areas of microservices, REST-APIs, cloud-based architectures (especially AWS) and modulithic system design
- Experienced in agile methods like Scrum and Kanban
- Work well in a cross country and remote team
- Clear and transparent communication, written as well as spoken. Fluent in English, German is a plus
