Senior EDS Engineer (m/f/d)
About the company
- As an Electrical Distribution Systems Engineer (EDS), you will be a key technical interface between our customer Aptiv and OEM customers, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of world-class EDS solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of EDS architectures to meet OEM requirements for cost, quality, and performance
- Provide technical support for customer quotes, prototypes, and new vehicle launches
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, engineering, business lines) to align on business and technical goals
- Advise on design changes and contribute to technical presentations and documentation
- Support technology development in areas such as EMC, power distribution, grounding, and functional safety
- Maintain and expand a knowledge base of HV EDS engineering and best practices
Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Relevant experience in wiring harness development
- Relevant experience in EDS or electrical architecture development
- Strong understanding of 48V/HV systems, manufacturability, and cost optimization
- Experience with customer-facing technical roles and cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent communication skills in English; German skills are a plus.
