Scientist Biophysics & Screening Technologies (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Supporting the operation and further development of our newly installed screening laboratory and active involvement in the Biocore platform
- Applying biophysical methods (biophysics) to analyze, characterize, and optimize small molecules (small molecule engineering) and their ligand interactions
- Conducting experiments, measurement series, and troubleshooting on the machine in close collaboration with the research team
- Documenting, evaluating, and presenting results in a scientific and technical context
- Ensuring quality standards, smooth laboratory processes, and continuous improvement of methodology
Profile
- Robust professional experience with biophysical methods (e.g. SPR, MST, ITC, or comparable methods, preferably with Biocore systems)
- In-depth knowledge of working with small molecules and practical experience in small molecule engineering and the analysis of ligand binding
- Experience working in modern screening or research laboratories and routine technical troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
- Independent, structured, and reliable way of working with high quality standards
- Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills in interdisciplinary project
- Fluent in English
