Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)
Project information
- You will be working in the Mainframe Online Services team in Zürich for our global z/OS mainframes Online components. The team will handle Incident and Problem Management cases in our online environment, to guarantee a smooth processing for z/OS Middleware, MQSeries and CICS infrastructure, so that our SLA goals can be achieved
Responsibilities
- To work in the Mainframe Online Services team, with expertise in CICS & MQ Subsystems and related products
- Providing support and assistance to the application teams on CICS/MQ issues
- Who can perform CICS/MQ incident and problem determination as well as Change Management (IPCM)
- Who can automate processes and procedures related to online services, optimizing and fine tuning the systems for maximum throughput
- Keen to work in an Agile Environment, with a transformation mindset
- Willing to adapt and align to an SRE culture, focused primarily towards infrastructure reliability
- Who is a self-driven individual who can identify toil and contribute to eliminating toil, enabling automation.
Profile
- Good knowledge with in z/OS System components, TSO, ISPF, JCL
- Good knowledge with in REXX scripting language and/or Python
- Good knowledge with in CICS, IBM MQ incl. Cluster / QSG
- Basic knowledge in DB2 understanding in plans, packages, statements
- Basic knowledge in SQL, LDAP, USS on IBM Mainframe
- Common IT Knowledge, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work under pressure or in hectic operating situations
- Fluent in English and German
